Carlos Ortiz wins in the Houston Heat!
The final round of LIV Golf’s Houston event had, at various points, five different players in or tied for the lead. By the second half of the back nine, it had become a two horse race as Carlos Ortiz and Adrian Meronk battled it out for their first win on LIV Golf.
A two shot swing on the 15th hole where Ortiz made birdie and Meronk bogey proved to be the deciding factor. Ortiz would have a two shot lead with just three to play, which would be enough to coast to the victory!
It wasn’t all bad for Meronk, though, as his Cleeks GC claim their first team victory! A strong final round from all four members of Cleeks saw them jump into the lead and win by two strokes over Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC and Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC. The team was led by Richard Bland’s -5 final round.

Even when he doesn’t have his best - Scottie does it again at Muirfield.
Scottie Scheffler entered the final round at the Memorial Tournament with a four stroke lead over Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin. It looked like it was going to be a comfortable stroll across the finish line for him to secure his fifth win on the season.
However the conditions were tough, and Scottie didn’t have his strongest showing with the putter. He shot two over in the final round and Collin had a great round, recording one of only a handful of under par rounds on the day.
Scottie would hold on and win by one stroke, becoming the first player to record five wins before the U.S. Open since Tom Watson did it in 1980.
What an incredible run he’s on!
