The Open Championship
_{Xander plays the round of his life and claims his second major of 2024!}

The first three rounds of the year’s final major were some of the most difficult conditions you’ll ever see. Depending on the time there were 25mph sustained winds with even higher gusts, cold temperatures, downpours, or a combination of the three.

Fantastic third round 65s from South African Thriston Lawrence and Sam Burns jolted them towards the top of the leaderboard, but the consistent play from Billy Horschel positioned him as the solo leader heading into the final round.

In addition to Lawrence and Burns, Henley, Schauffele, Rose, and Daniel Brown were all one shot back of the lead.

However no one was going to compete with the fantastic form of Xander Schauffele on Sunday. He referred to this round as the best round of golf he’s ever played, a bogey free 65 in difficult conditions that would propel him to a two stroke victory over Justin Rose and Billy Horschel.

On Sunday alone, Xander gained over 8 strokes on the field.

Congratualtions to the 2024 Champion Golfer of the Year Xander Schauffele! What a season he’s had!
