LIV Golf
Back and forth duel between Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm leads to a playoff where Brooks claims his 5th LIV Golf win

After opening rounds of 64-62, Jon Rahm started the final round at LIV Golf Greenbrier with a two shot lead over Brooks Koepka. That was erased quickly as Brooks birdied four of his first seven while Rahm played that same stretch at one under.

The two dueled for the remainder of the round all while Jason Kokrak, Marc Leishman, and Richard Bland (who even led for a brief stint) tried to catch them. Two late birdies from Jon Rahm would be enough to force a playoff against Brooks but Jon hit his tee shot on the short par 3 into the worst possible spot. Leaving himself short sided on a downhill slope meant that Brooks could two putt for the victory, though it looked like Rahm had saved par with a fantastic putt, but it lipped out in the end.

Congratulations to Brooks Koepka on his 5th win and his Smash GC on the team championship!

PGA TOUR
Hideki - just barely - holds on for the FedEx St. Jude Championship!

What looked like it was going to be a very comfortable, and slightly boring Sunday win for Hideki Matsuyama got very interesting towards the end. He came into the final round with a five shot lead over the field, birdied 8 and 11 to maintain that lead and then played the next four holes at four under par.

That meant Viktor Hovland was momentarily in the lead, Xander Schauffele one shot back, and Hideki also had fallen to one shot back.

Hideki was able to calm the nerves and right the ship as he played the final three holes. A comfortable par on 16 meant he was again tied for the lead as Hovland made a bogey, and then Hideki drained a 26 foot birdie putt on 17, and stuffed his approach to 5 feet on 18, and would end up winning by two strokes.

Congratulations to Hideki Matsuyama!

DP World Tour
David Ravetto claims his first DP World Tour victory in his 49th start at the D+D REAL Czech Masters!

The ups and downs in professional golf are like no other. David Ravetto missed the cut in six of his last seven starts, and now surges to victory with a final round of 64 after starting the day one shot back of Jesper Svensson.

Jesper would only shoot a 69, meaning that David ran away with this one and won by four strokes. David is the 11th first time winner on the DP World tour this season, the second player to come through their Q-School and win this season, and the first French winner in the 2024 season!

Congratulations to David Ravetto!
