PGA Tour
Matt McCarty’s hot streak continues as he gets his first PGA Tour win in just 3 starts!

Matt McCarty, PGA Tour rookie, was just one stroke up over Stephan Jaeger at the inaugural Black Desert Championship as he teed his ball up on the 14th hole, a reachable par four. That’s when he hit the shot of the tournament. A high draw with the driver that rolled out until it was 3 feet from the hole. He’d make the eagle and give himself a three shot lead. A lead he’d hold on to until the conclusion of the event.

As of mid-July, McCarty had only recorded one win since turning professional, and it was the Wyoming State Open. In July he won the Price Cutter Charity Championship, then in August he won the Pinnacle Bank Championship, and then the Albertsons Boise Open, all Korn Ferry Tour events. He’d earned a three-win promotion to the PGA Tour and now two events on tour later he’s in the winner’s circle.

Congratulations to Matt McCarty!

This week on the PGA Tour:

This week on the PGA Tour is the Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. Last year at this event Tom Kim defended his 2022 title when he defeated Adam Hadwin by one stroke.

DP World Tour

Dan Bradbury gets his big win at the Open de France!

Dan Bradbury found himself two shots back of Jesper Svensson after 54 holes at the French Open this weekend. While Jesper didn’t prove to be much of a threat on Sunday, as he’d post a final round of 76 and finish outside of the top 25, Dan still had his work cut out for him.

He’d make the turn a couple of shots off the lead and turn on the jets. He made birdie on 10, 14, 15, and 16 on the way in and wound up at the top of the leaderboard, one stroke ahead of Sam Bairstow, Thorbjorn Olesen, Yannik Paul, and Jeff Winther.

In the fall of 2022 Dan won his first event on the DP World Tour as a sponsors invite at the Joburg Open. He’s struggled with form since, but as we all know by now, you’re only one or two swings away from things turning around, and that’s just happened for Dan.

Congratulations to Dan Bradbury!

This week on the DP World Tour:

This week the DP World Tour returns to Real Club de Golf Sotogrande for the Andalucía Masters, an event won in 2023 by Adrian Meronk. Headlining this week’s event is Jon Rahm who looks to win for the first time at this event. He finished in 2nd place in 2019.

Asian Tour
Rattanon Wannasrichan wins the SJM Macao Open!

This week will be a weight off of Wannasrichan’s shoulders as he gets his first Asian Tour win since the Thailand open in 2017. A solid event throughout but the win was carried by a fantastic opening round of 61 at Macau Golf and Country Club. He’d follow that up with a 66-67-66 and win by two strokes over Gunn Charoenkul.

He’ll be someone to watch out for in the closing stretch of the Asian Tour as he’s been in fantastic form recently, finishing inside the top 5 (including this win) in 3 of his last four events.

Congratulations to Rattanon Wannasrichan!

This week on the Asian Tour:

A fantastic week upcoming here for the Asian Tour as the Black Mountain Championship kicks off. It marks the beginning of a 7 week stretch where 6 events are part of the International Series and will decide who gets the coveted promotion to LIV Golf for the 2025 season. Additionally, influencers Luke Kwon and Taewook Koh (TacoGolf) are in this weeks field on sponsors exemptions. Should be pretty interesting to see how that goes!
