DP World Tour

72 holes wasn’t even close to enough, but Julien Guerrier wins the Andalucia Masters!

When Jorge Campillo holed his birdie putt on the 14th hole this Sunday, he gave himself a comfortable two shot lead. Little did he know, he'd have 13 more holes to play. Unfortunately for him he'd make a bogey on 15, and then another on 18. His two shot lead was gone and he was heading to a playoff with Julien Guerrier. Guerrier, by the way, made a fantastic par putt on the 72nd hole to stay at -21.

Incredibly they would each record EIGHT straight pars and head back to the 18th tee for a 6th time (they played the 17th 3 times), and that's where it would finally end as Campillo would record a bogey and Guerrier a par.

230 starts after his first, Julien Guerrier is a champion on the DP World Tour, amazing!

Congratulations to Julien!

On the last putt, I was thinking of my kids to give me the strength to hit it, so thanks to my family and my team. It's a long wait and I'm very happy."

Julien Gurrier on his win

This week on the DP World Tour:

The DP World Tour this week visits South Korea for the Genesis Championship, their final event of the regular season. In 2023 Pablo Larrazabal birdied four of his last 8 holes to win by two strokes over Marcus Helligkilde.

Asian Tour
MJ Maguire wins the Black Mountain Championship over IS OOM leader John Catlin!

A birdie on the final hole of regulation for MJ Maguire meant he'd find himself in a playoff with International Series Order of Merit leader John Catlin, as they both finished at -23, one shot ahead of Lee Chieh-Po.

It looked as if Catlin was going to continue his dominance of the International Series as he hit a fantastic approach into the first playoff hole and a had a short look for birdie. Maguire was in the fringe, about 20 feet away from the hole, and he drained it. They went back to the 18th tee for a second time, and this time Catlin wouldn't be as fortunate. He left himself a 15 footer for par that he'd miss, meaning MJ Maguire would claim the victory.

Luke Kwon, the YouTube creator who was in on a playoff made the cut after opening rounds of 67 and 70. He'd struggle on the weekend posting a 71-74, but still very impressive!

He moves up to 5th in the International Series Order of Merit, but John Catlin's lead has become borderline insurmountable with his second place finish this week, though there are five events left in the season.

Congratulations to MJ Maguire on his win at the Black Mountain Championship!

This week on the Asian Tour:

The Asian Tour stays in Thailand for the seconds straight week as the International Series continues with the Thailand event. Last year this event was won by Wade Ormsby in a playoff. For the second consecutive week the Asian Tour has invited popular content creators to play in the event. This week Mac Boucher will be taking on Thai Golf Club, and Luke Kwon has been extended an invite but as of Monday he's yet to enter the event.

PGA Tour
J.T. Poston holds off a final round charge by Doug Ghim at the Shriners Children’s Open!

After a fantastic first three rounds of 64-65-66, J.T. Poston entered the final round at TPC Summerlin with a three shot lead over Doug Ghim and a four shot leader over 6 players that included Taylor Pendrith and Gary Woodland.

He opened with a birdie and would continue his strong play for the first 16 (-5 through 16) holes before making a bogey on 17. His playing That would decrease his lead to two shots over Doug Ghim, who was -5 on the day. Poston calmed his nerves over the ball on the 18th tee and striped his tee shot right down the middle. A comfy approach and two putts would secure the victory, though Doug Ghim nearly jarred his approach which would have forced a playoff!

Congratulations to J.T. Poston, his first since the John Deere Classic in 2022!

This week on the PGA Tour:

The PGA Tour heads to Japan this week for the ZOZO Championship which features my personal favorite trophy on the tour, the Dyson fan. Won by Collin Morikawa last season, he’ll look to defend his title this week at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club.
