DP World Tour
Rory McIlroy claims his 6th Race to Dubai Title - wins the Tour Championship!

The Race to Dubai title was all but his heading into the week, but a stellar performance where Rory McIlroy shot 67-69-68-69 to win the DP World Tour Championship is the icing on the cake.

Tied with Rasmus Højgaard heading into the final round, Rory would open with 4 birdies and one bogey in the first five holes. This would give him a one shot lead as the pair made the turn. A bogey on 13 would drop him into a tie, but two birdies on the final three holes would be enough as Rasmus made par on all nine holes coming home.

This marks his 6th Race To Dubai title, his fourth Rolex Series win, 18th DP World Tour victory, and 42nd win as a professional.

Congratulations Rory!

This week on the DP World Tour:

This marked the end of the DP World Tour points race, but the DP World Tour’s Opening Swing for the 2025 season picks right up with the BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland GC in Brisbane. Last year this was won by Min Woo Lee, and he’ll be returning this year in hopes to defend his title.

PGA Tour
Rafael Campos becomes a father and a PGA Tour winner - in the same week!

Rafael Campos entered the week well outside of the line to keep his PGA Tour card, he was ranked 147th on Thursday morning. He’s been bouncing back and forth between the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour for a few years now, but his win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship means the 36 year old will be a full time PGA Tour member in 2025.

On Saturday he’d gain 6.4 strokes on the field after posting a 62, putting himself in a tie with Andrew Novak (who also shot a 62 that day). Similar to the finish on the DP World Tour, one of the two players tied at the top would come home at even par, and one would make some much needed birdies and lift the title. This time it was Rafael Campos, and Andrew Novak would finish in second place.

Congratulations to Rafael Campos!

This week on the PGA Tour:

This week is the final event of the FedEx Cup Fall Series with The RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club. Last year’s winner Ludvig Åberg will be in the field looking to defend. While it might not be the case for him, there’s a ton on the line this week as many players in the field seek to take advantage of their last opportunity to improve their status for the 2025 season.

The PGA Tour announced some changes to their field sides, amount of membership’s awarded, and more. They call it improving the competitive structure, but time will have to tell on that. Most of the changes that will affect the fields won’t be implemented until the 2026 season.
