PGA Tour
Jake Knapp and Patty Tavatanakit win the Grant Thornton, 6 players earn PGA Tour cards at Q-School!

Jake Knapp and Patty Tavatanakit claimed victory in their debut at the Grant Thornton Invitational, the PGA Tour event that’s played as a mixed-team event. They opened with the low round of the tournament with a 58 and held their lead straight through to the end.

The betting favorites for the tournament, Tom Kim and Jeeno Thitikul ended just one shot behind Knapp and Tavatanakit.

At the PGA Tour’s final stage of Q-School, the top five players and ties were set to earn PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season. Social media favorite Alistair Docherty devastatingly missed out by just one shot.

The medalist at Q-School was Lanto Griffin following a final round of 63. Five other players earned cards due to a three way tie, they were Hayden Buckley, Takumi Kanaya, Alejandro Tosti, Will Chandler, and Matthew Riedel.

Congratuations to Jake Knapp, Patty Tavatanakit, and the six new PGA Tour members!

DP World Tour
Shaun Norris gets his second DP World Tour win 20 years after his Alfred Dunhill Championship debut!

After the third round of play 42 year old Shaun Norris found himself six shots back of the leader Marcus Kinhult. He’d make an eagle on his second hole of the final round and start out with an opening nine 33. Three birdies on the back gave him the clubhouse lead at -13.

The final stretch at Leopards Creek is a tough one, and it showed it’s teeth on Sunday with third round leader Kinhult shooting two over on the day, and while it looked like things could be headed to a playoff when Ryan Van Velzen was teeing off on his 72nd hole, he put his approach into the water and made a bogey, thus giving Shaun Norris the victory by just one stroke.

This marks the fourth consecutive win by a South African player at the Alfred Dunhill Championship!

Congratulations to Shaun Norris!

This week on the DP World Tour:

This week on the DP World Tour is the final week of the Opening Swing for the 2025 season with the AfrAsian Bank Mauritius Open. Last year this event was won by Louis Oosthuizen as the second of his back-to-back wins on the tour last year.

LIV Golf / Asian Tour
Max Lee wins the LIV Golf Promotions Event and will join LIV Golf for the 2025 Season!

On the 36 hole final day of the LIV Golf Promotions Event, Max Lee, originating from the Korean Tour, continued his fantastic form, showed up when it mattered most, and won the coveted spot on LIV Golf for 2025.

I’m not sure it could get much better for Max, as his recent turn in form that started with his first Asian Tour win at the International Series Thailand ends with him playing on LIV Golf next season.

Max’s first round on Sunday he fired a smooth 7-under 64 that gave him a lead heading into the back 18. A lead he’d never relinquish. Branden Grace, Ollie Schniederjans, and Taichi Kho all challenged at times, but in the end Max would secure the coveted title of LIV Golf Promotions Event Champion by two shots over the field.

Congratulations to Max Lee!

This week on the LIV Golf:

This marks the official end to the 2025 season for LIV Golf. They’re set to return at LIV Riyadh on February 6th. Though between now and then they’ve got a handful of roster spots to fill, so keep your eyes peeled on all platforms for news on that front.
